James Elliott Exercise Physiologist
B.App.Sci (Exercise and Sports science) ESSAM AEP
James was heading towards a career in soccer, before suffering a knee injury as a teenager that put an immediate halt to that prospect. It was during this time, with a six month rehabilitation process to simply walk again, that James realised he wanted to be involved injury management as a career. The difference between the long term outlook for those who diligently managed their injury versus those who were less that conscientious, struck a strong chord with James.
After completing an applied Exercise and Sports Science degree at the University of Sydney, James went on to satisfy the criteria for becoming an Exercise Physiologist. Since that time, clients seeing James have had a full scope of ailments including hip and knee replacements, cerebral palsy, diabetes, heart problems, obesity and many more.
In recent years, James had completed further education and now sees many clients looking to further themselves in sports performance, body building/sculpting, as well as research based personal training and nutrition. A career highlight so far in this area was a two week internship at the 2009 US Open tennis, including working with Andy Murray.
James is approachable and always welcoming to those who wish to improve their health and quality of life. To get into contact with James or to schedule a consultation, please email: james@envysportsclinic.com.au
